haha yeah ok then :P

ahh awesome weldone to them!

iv got a family bbq tomorrow, but what are you upto friday afternoon straight after work ? im thinking of getting the trailer thursday night then bringing it into work friday and going straight to adams to get the engine and seats. got a handful of magazines today classic ford seems to be the best one for suppliers of parts relavent to the capri. the others seem to be more ford escort or performance car orientated.

got a night of looking on all the websites tonight and see what i can get :D

back in 4 hangar tuesday thankgod so il probably bump into you :D

going to find out where the paint place has moved to in lynn and pop in to choose some paints, save tim some time, will also try going into marshall ford on the hardwick estate in lynn and see if theres any paint codes there that i can have and also look at on a car if theyve got any.

will book some toil in the next couple of weeks and actually get some stuff done haha :P

cheers

use photobucket, its free. it easily allows you to add [img] code onto the forum. remember to resize the pictures so they dont run off the page :)

ahh brilliant thanks! il get them all put on there instead of having to see thte links every time! cheers mate

little update, engine block, drivers seats and door cards now here...parcel shelf also though its a bit tatty, no sign of inside roof trimmings with the car, previous owner brough it in pieces so wasnt sure what was missing etc

going to try and get engine stripped cleaned and rebuilt by cousin but think there will still be a charge, any recommendations ? also considering an unleaded conversion...

while the engines being done can be getting on with rest of it..ordered paint today too, performance blue, and got some waxoyle underseal to paint on while its all stripped off.

oh yeah also rear stabalizer bar is bent so will need a new one, and also looms are all here, when i get time il clean them all up and see what their condition is like, pics to follow :D

wedding reception tonight :D

Are you certain?
They're not exactly straight to begin with.
I've got one in the garage. I'll bring it in to work for you, but it's only 12mm I think, not 14mm.
Will do as a comparison though.

Hi mate,
Just measured the rear ARB on the Laser and that's 12mm too. So you may as well have the other one I've got in the garage. It'll do to set everything up and you can always swap to a 14mm later on.
Measure up your front one too? Might only be 22mm in which case the 24mm off the Laser might have found a new home ;)

awesome cheers buddy! currently dont have a front bar here, need to check if its on the shell, im going over next wednesday to drop paint off at tims and have another good look at the shell and see whats with it.

i got the package through from CCI and got all the catalogues from january, i see there is a spacer kit that fits between the gearbox and bell housing to allow the 5 speed type 9 to fit straight onto the 3 litre block without needing to mill the shaft...have you seen or heard of this ?

also since it has a 2.8 front axle will single leaf springs fit straight onto it as i think the ones fitted are multileafs?

things il definately need to date are:

interior screws incl sunroof bits
centre console arm rest bolster thing
head llamps and all attaching parts and weather cover
bumpers/bumper brackets
seat belts and rails etc
parcel shelf
some inside trim bits, not 100% which but only have LH or RH of

will add more when im more sure whats missing after iv seen the shell properly.

cheers

Front ARB should be on the car
Just so you don't get too confused, the leaf srings fit on the REAR axle ;) and both multi or single leaf will fit using the matching U-bolts.
You may well do better to consider using the CCI bellhousing conversion as it is proven, but remember the bellhousing you currently have is not a standard 2.8i type 9 one so you'd need the complete bellhousing, not just the adaptor plate.
Sunroof is still cmplete on the Laser so you can help yourself to all that.
Centre armrest is a bit flabby but you can have it to start off with
Rear bumper has just been advertised on here for £20 but if you want it say so now!!
Not got parcel shelf. Got the supports though.
LH headlight is in a thousand pieces down the road aways. Might have another though.
Same goes for the plastic shroud.
Front seat belts, no problems, but if you want rears you'll need to look elsewhere I'm afraid.

Hopefully others following this thread will be able to help where I can't.

Bent.
Should be a straight line for the cable from the locking nut to the lever.
Should be able to bend it back ok though.
