Re: the 3 ltr s project begins
ok heres an update! cars still in paint/workshop having wing realligned and bonnet straightened, in the mean time iv been to capri gear (my dream workshop) and got some bits off martin including a windscreen that isnt fragmented
tidied up gearbox all bearings seem ok, selects all gears ( one of the push to reverse ones) will be doing a swap with someone for a 4 speed original
been battling the surface corrosion on the headlamp holders spent a day doing just one :S so heres some pics:
some rubbing down later
hopefully next lot of pics will be of car

looks dam good, only 1 thing your stipes are too high they should be in line with the bumpers not the bottom of the stripe following the fold in the side, hope it is not to late to remove them and lower.

Trust Mike to pick that one up.
Love the colour though and the stripes are a good contrast as well.

Re: the 3 ltr s project begins
few bits done, sunroof cable and conduit removed cleaned up and greased, found mud on the conduit which im guessing is why it was jammed in the first place. hammerite blue just for good measure
sunroof was a pig to fit spesh with the new seal, nothing a bit of vaseline cant cure
headlights and shrouds fitted also
will try get some pics of engine bay on friday when its light, cars back on old wheels and axle stands now ready for colder weather. glass gradually going in
