I thought my 1st post on this forum would be a hello and here's my "new" 1986 2.0 Laser. I bought this from a chap in Portsmouth who bought it in 2014 form an eBay trader. The car was originally from Crewe but was bought by a chap in Ireland around 2001. He was a member of the Northern Ireland Capri club and went to many shows with it. It came back to the UK around 2013/14. It's a very solid car with most of the paintwork still factory paint. Never been welded but has had a couple of modifications. It was a 1.6 originally but had a factory exchange 2.0 fitted something in 2007/8. This was bored out to 2.1 I gather. It also has Volvo 240 front brake calipers and sport exhaust.

Very nice and I see some little person sitting in the seat likes the car as well . Funny as my little girl loves sitting in the front ... she also said when she can see over the bonnet she wants to have a go , Just hope she forgets .

Thanks for the welcome messages, yes very happy with it. Used to have a Capri back in the 80's when I was a teenager. Sold it because it was a bit rusty ( a 1980 V reg 1.6GL in Tuscan Beige) and always said I'd have another but never did. Just sold a Mk3 Cortina GXL as I'd hoped to buy a 3.0 Ghia or S but just couldn't find a good one in my budget. This one came up and it was so clean I can't resist it. Was a little newer than I wanted as hate paying road tax for little use but this was too good to turn down
