Sounds good I haven't got much spare time at the moment after just having a baby and trying to work on the capri but when I get a spare day I'll let you know, it would be good to meet some local knowledge

Hi mate, a belated :welcome: to the forum :)

Thanks for uploading the pics of your Laser. Nice one fella ! Looks very nice indeed. Good luck with whatever you plan to do with it but it certainly looks very tidy indeed. Lovely colour too.

As said this is a really friendly place, great bunch of folk here and the wealth of knowledge here is amazing.

All the best and look forward to hearing more from you and seeing more of your Laser :)

Nick

Thank everyone for the warm welcome, I'm currently preparing the car for the mot !!! Worrying times lol
But things I've got planed are:

Twin weber conversion
Spray blast and powder coat the alloys
Polybush all round
Free flow exhaust system
And possible respray

I'll be sure to upload more pictures as and when work gets done

So it failed !!

Binding brakes which I'm not suprised as it's only done just over 100 miles since the last MOT
And faulty indicator stalk which needs replacing

So not to bad but still very annoying

Hi,
It could have been much worse!
Still, two easy problems to sort and then you'll be ready to roll.
Try Martin at Caprigear for a replacement indicator stalk.

Andrew.

That's so true ! At First I was really annoyed but then realised how many capri's I've seen In the past fail for serious welding issues so felt lucky really lol I will call capri gear tomorrow and see if he's got anything and then spend saturday sorting out the brakes ready for a relaxing test next week

As you said, that's pretty good for a car you don't really know yet. Good luck with fixes then you can start enjoying it :drive:

Yep, as has already been said fella that aint nothing to get worried over at all for its first MOT under your ownership. Its always a big worry with the first MOT, so you must be very relieved there are no major issues to report. Let us know when it passes next week and you are driving it around with a big :D on your face. Nice one ! Be prepared for lots of attention which I am sure you have already received

I really wanted to drive it but I've been working away for 2 weeks so my dad dropped it off and picked it up after the mot so he's drove it more than me hahaha but come the weekend I shall be on the road !!
