She drives lovely.and when you give it some welly the engine and janspeeds sound great.the only niggle is the whining from the alloy cam gear.if i knew the fibre one was safe .id shove it back on ! Thanks for looking .cheers mel

This car is my absolute dream Capri. It's sex on wheels and to die for IMHO. Stuff your Brooklands etc.

You're a very lucky man to own it and have done an exquisite job in restoring it. When the better weather comes enjoy it and go win some trophies!

Thanks paul . really appreciate it.i like it.its a bit different.just a pity its not summer now. I wish i could get hold of a set of new door cards.the ones i have are a bit warped but i believe most dont fit properly.my mates say its 40 years old .stop moaning haha.

:agree: You don't realize how small older cars are compared with modern stuff :shock:

My Sierra isn't a small car, but looks lost next to the likes of the latest Astra. New cars have got so high and wide :?

Used to think the Capri was a big car in the 80's, looks tiny now :)

Cheers rob.my mates turned up last week in a mk3 rs1600i.escort.they looked comical as they turned up and as they drove off.they looked so close sat together and the car looked strangely small.nice thing though

It's still gorgeos!

The only thing I would have done different is to paint the sills and number plate surrounds in satin black as per factory but I think it actually looks better as you have it.
