Stick to 60 and I'm sure it will be fine listening to that Janspeed burbling away Can I come
My mates Escort Cabby shattered it's wheel bearing going to Classic Ford a few years ago, and we got the AA truck all the way home on the Sunday, it was much more comfortable
Well here i go.9.30am fuelled up in oldham and im now sat in the services just in birmingham a couple if issues.fuel gauge going all over the place so stopped and squeezed the wires on a bit tighter on the tank sender.job done.then indicators stopped working.looked down and the hazard light switch had worked itself loose.shoved it in and bobs ur uncle.next stop bristol.quietly shitting myself hahha oh and the speedos miles out .
Nice weather most of the way.until i hit the a30 just a bit of drizzle.il clean it in a few days then shove it away int garage.it was a hard drive.looking at the gauges all the way.but heyho its done

Cheers andy.spent a good hour cleaning her this affy.all done and back in her shed.ive got a garage but its not ready til next week.not happy about it but theres nowt i can do about it .thought id take a few pics .again ! suprising how dirty a car gets with one outing.even the engine bay got dirty.i think il get a tatty capri so that i dint have to keep bleeding cleaning it
Glad you had a pretty uneventful drive. Shows how good your restoration & preparation was prior to this trip. Car looks amazing, next to modern cars they look tiny, like they're on a different scale . Enjoy your (and the Capri's) new home.
Cheers rob.ive still quite a few things to finish off.things ive been struggling to get hold of etc.these came today.ive been after some of em for ages and they came up on ebay last week another one ticked off the list
Glad your trip went well, its amazing how tiring constantly scanning the gauges, listening for noises & even smelling for fumes or hot brakes etc
Strangely on a run like that I have got 30mpg out of the lazy auto in my 3.0 Ghia, at a steady 70-75mph on the speedo clock but as the sat nav says its a constant 10% optimistic whatever the speed
Cheers chaps.cant wait to nip out on a weekend to some nice little fishing villages etc.need a pic on the sea front in st ives.should be some nice roads down here .
