Really getting somewhere with this now, I'm awed by your attention to detail & vision in bringing this one off car to completion. Best of luck with the final push, it's going to look amazing, a magazine feature in the making, going to be a lot of fun on the road. :goodluck:

You must be feeling pretty chuffed with yourself, and rightly so. Looking really good :applaud:

Thanks!

Trying to hook up handbrake but need more leverage to engage the rear caliper pistons.

Also have the steering system done.
I sacrificed a column but didn't hack the pedal box apart by putting the motor in the engine bay. I have since painted it with a rubberized undercoating to make it more weather proof. But it never rains here so not too worried.

Glass in. That chrome strip is tough to install. I didn't use the corner pieces, just 45d them real tidy which looks better imo.
Got the dash fascia attached. Some m4 Allen bolts secure it. Happy how it turned out.
Forgot to paint the petrol cap. Doh!

Thanks!

I ditched all the blue hoses I had and contacted a Chinese hose manufacturer. I gave them a list and they sent me a whole heap of black hoses for a few dollars each. They don't normally deal to the public but being nice does get you somewhere.

I'm now on the wait for t bolt hose clamps and the air to water intercooler that's going in the wing. I did have a small air to air unit in the wing but it was too small and would be a restriction just making the turbo pressurise the air and heat it more. Plus not being in direct airflow wasn't ideal.

Clutch cable hooked up really easily which surprised me and it's a nice easy press for a high torque spec. The lima bell housing uses 2 lever and pivot points to aid leverage. The direct pull on my pinto was so hard to drive with the uprated AP clutch.
Cosworth throttle body needed a forward pull cable so I used two light bar clamps back to back on the piping. Piping butted right up against the throttle body housing so should work ok I think.

I'm now running the largest turbine housing I can find on the holset. Should create a high flowing exhaust and not too much primary boost.

Wiring coming soon after fuel hose hook up and other menial tasks.

Wiring now. 2 conduits run the hidden wires.
One is the stock stuff like lights etc. The other is the ecu stuff.

I've deleted all the the federal start inhibitors from the system. Stupid sensors everywhere, all binned. Its like people are so scared of manual gearbox over here you have to be sitting in the car with the door closed and the seat belt engaged! Ffs

Megasquirt 3 pro and a relay box.

Made a bracket for the fuse box. I had originally intended to use an aftermarket fuse box but it was turning into a real ball ache trying to find something suitable so I'm keeping the original. It's just turned down 180 from original location. All bay wiring goes out the a panel to the front headlight bucket and there's a piece of square tubing that goes across under the slam panel so all wires are hidden.

Water to air intercooler replacing the small air to air that was in there. This should work better.

Do you have any pictures of this car while wheels on ground?
I am interested how to DIY caltacs work.

Image links have stopped working
