Re: Peers.dupp's 2.8 injection
About time Andrew! You've always been one of the first to comment on everyone else's car - and what a good looking one yours is too! Love the colour, and I reckon those pepper pots just set it off to a tee.
Have to say I'm quite jealous of where you live, it must be a blast having those Welsh A roads right on the doorstep!
Mike.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate them!
The roads around here are a driver's playground. There's very little traffic on the roads to interfere with a good drive!

Cracking looking car you have there.
Being able to get them out on some good roads is one of the true joys in life.

Hi,
I'm no speed freak, but when faced with a growling V6 and an empty road the temptation is almost too much.
All the best,
Andrew.

Re: Peers.dupp's 2.8 injection
Hi Dan,
I'm not sure about eating your dinner off the engine. Not unless you like the taste of oil and grime!
All the best,
Andrew.
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, it is Paris blue. The previous owner had the car sprayed in this colour six years ago. I'm beginning to quite like it too, although it wouldn't have been my first choice.dan the capri fan wrote:lovely car mate im jealous. i love the colour is it paris blue because when i was first looking at capri i was going to buy a paris blue laser. i love pepper pots on capris they look so good. your engine bay is so clean you could eat your dinner off it. a lot of elbow grease done in there.

Re: Peers.dupp's 2.8 injection
Hi Dave,
I have to say that the old girl looks good in the photographs!
All the best,
Andrew.
Thank you for your comments, they are much appreciated. If I am honest I would say that I am not 100% happy with the condition of the car. There some blemishes on the paint and a few other things that aren't right. It's easy to be over critical and see every fault when it's your own car. My friends think that I am mad to be expecting perfection on a 30 year old car without throwing shedloads of money at it!DCDave wrote:That looks a stunning example Andrew, can't really pick fault with anything!

Smashing car Andrew, a real credit to you
What have you on the inner wing under the injector leads.. some sort of matting? Would something similar have been there originally? I'm interested because mine have dulled off the paint work there, thinking of doing the same.
Cheers Glenn

Thank you for your kind words, they are much appreciated.
It is a foam pad under the injector pipes on the wing. All the 2.8 injections were fitted with them, well RHD ones were anyway. The pads are to protect the paintwork as you suggest. The original ones were black, but they probably can't be bought anymore. Mine's a repro grey one that cost about £5 on Ebay.
All the best,
Andrew.
