Cold weather rolling in and just started working on the outside of the car.

Cut some nice big holes in the car to get a nice clean sheet of metal in.

And 2 right above the leaf spring mounts.

Just those, gearbox tunnel and a little bit on the drivers side then i can put the interior back in. Plan now to get the car back on the road for winter... Motorbike is just awful.

Restarted work on the car again but once again the weather decided to go off on one again. Did a little welding and to the passenger side of the car, decided to go fish out the pinto and rover v8 in the lockup to start playing with them.

Got bored of the cold outside so i decided to get my hand very dirty with the 1.6 engine. Current favorite tool now is the rubber mallet, Doesn't look to back at first glance.

Doesn't look that bad when all the underseal comes off. Took off the strut without too much trouble with the old split pins, so many shades of rust.

A friend came down to help me out and managed to get a lot done on Friday, Managed to take out the steering arm, break servo, passenger; wing, strut and the anti roll bar.
You can also see that in the 2 picture it became very wet which gave us a mad rush to take off the passenger side strut

If there's a bit of wear in the camshaft I have an almost new 1.6 item if you're interested.

Took the valance off the front and got another ordered, started to clean up the metal that was behind the valance to make like easier when the new one comes. Took off the cross member and started to get rid of the underseal from the passenger side, the stuff really does go everywhere.

Started to do a bit more welding to the car, got the drivers side A pillar welded and a bit on the wing, managed to set fire to my trousers in the process while i was welding the A pillar. Got a steel valance so now its pretty much welding in the patches till i can stick it on.
