Sad to hear, but with it being winter, and uncertainty over Brexit, it's probably not a good time to sell a classic car. wasn't it possiblr for you to have waited a few months to sell?

Photos here, if anybody wants to see the car in question:

Honestly, I would have advertised it for a more as it looks to be in superb original condition. Obviously, a higher asking price would mean that it would take longer to sell though.
I'm surprised that you didn't get any interest at all.

Andrew.

Hi Sam.
Sorry to hear you had to let your car go to a dealer. I would not be surprised to see it up for sale at £15,000 or more at some future date.

Its such a shame as I would have loved have bought this car from you. Could not do anything till after Christmas and could not have obtained funds till later this month. I would have messaged you before now but did not like to mess you about till I was sure that I would be in a position to buy.

I think the price you got was reasonable in view of you asking £8,995 or near.

Nigel

Looking through the online agents' adverts recently I noticed there were lots of trade dealers advertising tidy cars at what I consider to be higher than expected prices, this is in comparison to the number of private sellers. I suspect that the trade has cottoned on to the potential for Capris to make serious money and have snapped them up. Perhaps the number on sale with high prices has then been noticed by would-be-owners who have kicked back a bit???

Yes i agree the prices with dealers out there are crazy . Everything is descibed as totally mint and well over ten grand .
