Re: Optimistic!
It says in the description "there's a few rust spots on the bodywork". They're not kidding.

Re: Optimistic!
There seems to be a certain type of seller who instead of looking around at comparables, taking advice from people on forums etc enthusiastically sticks their fhead in the sand and advertises their car for a ridiculous amount and often with a poorly worded ad that raises more laughs than interest.
Sadly all too often when they reel from the shock of failing to have invoked any interest they eventually become disheartened and then convince themselves they have something quite unsaleable that they will let go for close to scrap value.
it isnt they have an unsaleable car though, its just they need to apply a bit more thought about the sale price and description.

Re: Optimistic!
Still too much imo
I know this won't be to everyone's tastes but surely the seller of the white GL must see this add for the same price and realise?

Re: Optimistic!
I always think it`s a shame when you see a neglected, beaten up old shed like that. Once somebodies brand new pride and joy, now look at it. I still wouldn`t give `em £270 for it, Christ knows what the underneath`s like.

Re: Optimistic!
You seriously have to wonder what the guy (or gal!) actually thinks it's worth though...
It started off at £5750 or whatever it was, now it's been knocked down by £3000 and still no-one is interested... how much lower will it keep getting dropped...? Will it just drop to one price and stay there forever while no-one buys it? If so, why start off so high in the first place when what you'd accept for it is much less??

100% added scene tax!

Re: Optimistic!
Probably mentioned it to a guy in the pub who knows everything, and was told Capris are worth a fortune now even if it hasn't got an MOT
It's worth something to someone but only at the right price, and I would put it on a 99p starting bid and take what I could get.
