Capri 280 40937 Miles Build Number 384

Post by Weebob »

Hi folks. My chum has decided to part with his 280 if the right offer comes along. He has had the car a few years now and by his own testament he is not really a Capri person. The car is registered April 1987 and has had two previous owners. Genuine 40937 Miles substantiated by all MOT certificates barr one which is not in his folder up to 2016. The car drives stunningly with no creaks or rattles it feels like a 40000 mile car. The car is strikingly original still maintaining it's original wings which gives it beautiful panel gaps. Paintwork is good but in it's current condition does Sport a number of light blemishes such as light stone chipping across bonnet, light mark to right side of sunroof, light parking dent beside fuel filler cap and some light surface rust on rear bumper.

I am being critical of the car as I want to describe it as accurately as possible. As it sits the car looks fantastic and is even better to drive. Having two previous owners which judging by name and address on the v5 appear to have been relatives and good service History by one of the better known Ford Dealers of the time in Northern Ireland what we have is the potential of a stunning concours low mileage low owner car. Or totally enjoy it as the car sits. I said to my chum about taking it to the Northern Ireland Regional Capri day today and he said here take my car someone should enjoy it and I have to say I did very much. The car was taken to CCA Auctions last year and estimated £23000 to £26000. Wrong auction wrong day. 2/3 of the cars that day went unsold. I have attached the report to give a non bias view of the car. Asking price is £24500 or nearest sensible offer.

The car will be sold with a full MOT. It's located 40 mins from both Belfast airports. 40 mins from Belfast dock. 90 mins from Dublin dock or 4 hours from Rosslare Port.
