Less than I predicted. Still, nearly £4000 purchase price + (seller's estimation) £5000 in panels + the cost of required mechanical and interior parts + labour = a car with a lot of money tied up in it.
I suspect you may be correct when you suggested that this will be up for sale again soon. I hope not though, as it would be great to see the earliest surviving mark 1 in the ownership of an enthusiast that will give the car the attention it deserves.

Andrew.

:agree: Andrew.
Not a cheap project, and as the seller says it would be right to do it with a correct 1600 engine and spec.

Nice car to own when completed :D

Funnily enough I was talking to a former owner of this car last weekend, as he lives locally and I have known him around 6 years.

It was in the recent 50 year magazine many of us bought.

Beautiful car and I very much wish I could own an RS3100, but surely I can't be the only one thinking that £73k is a bit mad?
You could buy a 5.0L V10 Lamborghini Gallardo for less than that. Or even a Porsche 911 Turbo - 80s and 90s versions.

I get that those two options are not up everyone's street but my point is more that I love an RS3100 but would rather have a lambo for that money... just me??

If I had that money I would still rather have the 3100, even if I was getting ripped off :spank: :)

:agree: It is a lot of money for a Capri.

How about 3 of these and still having £13k in change?

Again - not everyone loves the livery and bodywork but would be infinitely cheaper to change this back than buy the green one for three and a half times as much

Dr B had this car recently.

I don't like the paint scheme, would prefer it in a solid colour, but the V8 would be good :)

Something different https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Ford ... SwqEZdXC3I

May well be a good investment if looked after.

Good spot Andy, Jason I think you're right, a good investment looking at prices of really good sierras now. If only I had the garage space for another :ford:

That would be ideal JM :)

As Rob says, if anyone has the room this Mondeo would be a great buy imo. Probably get it for no more than a £1000.
