The entry fee is £150 including VAT for sales at Warwickshire Exhibition Centre (WEC) and £250 plus VAT for sales at National Exhibition Centre (NEC). This includes entry into the relevant Auction Catalogue showing your car with a colour picture and descriptive text. Should your entry sell at auction, we will charge our standard seller's commission of 5%+VAT based on the hammer price your entry has achieved with a minimum charge of £350+VAT"

So according to this and if my maths is accurate, the seller would have paid around £3500 making the auction house around £10500 in this lot alone

:agree:
After a quick search it was 2015 at just under £28K.

Not a 50K car though imo!

Was this the orange S that caused some controversy when it was for sale, back then?

I’d consider this instead

The Laser shell I think may have been the issue mentioned.

It is an ex KGF, was also the car that made me fall in love with the Capri in the summer 2010 edition of classic ford, and I still have the centre poster of this car on my wall at home!

Absolutely love this Car! I still have this magazine Danny & it restarted my drive to eventually owning another Capri. ( the poster ended up being a book cover for my youngest sons school book :D) Not £50k worth though :o

I agree, gorgeous car and done so nicely, but wouldn't want to pay half of that
I thought it was steep when it was up for £20k a few years back - I thought once I've won the lottery I'd consider buying it at that price haha

Reading through the advert here, the description is lifted word for word from the KGF advert. The only thing that has changed is the price.... :)

Do we think it will sell quickly?
I think it looks gorgeous and, despite the seemingly high asking price, it won't hang around for long.

Andrew.

It is a lovely car but Capris haven't gone up over £20k in 4 years.

Anyone that is willing to spend that money should do their homework, and with the 'Laser shell' thing hanging over it, not sure it will sell that quickly or not at that price.

Think it should be £75k if it has the mighty Laser body
