Copied this comment from XR Owners Club FB, regarding how much someone was asking for their car;
Top money when the market is on a down for classic fords at the moment, as everyone seems to be panic selling, 3 RS 500'S at the silverstone classic this weekend!
Found this from Saturdays auction, unsold inc some Cosworths http://www.silverstoneauctions.com/silv ... old/pn/all
Has the Classic Ford market 'topped' at last, and do some people know something the rest of us don't

Re: Interesting.....
Hi Andy,
With auctions, there are so many variables it's difficult to tell whether the market has topped out or not.
I like the moonstone blue RS500, but the black one at £97K demands a very specialist sort of buyer.
The Mk2 Lotus Cortina looks cheap at £27,600.
Andrew.

When people comment on the current market as above, maybe it's a sign of change....Or just an opinion

I keep taking the mother in law to the local cattle market and she’s not selling so with mother in laws the market must be low at the moment but come xmas I think she will sell .

You can buy a habitable house in some parts of the country for the price of that. Nice car though.

Very nice RS3100!
It's only right that it's been restored in it's original colour, but if I could buy an RS, a white one wouldn't be my first choice.

Re: Interesting.....
great picture there Andrew , the Capri does look good in yellow where some cars don’t . The wheels look very retro would they be something bought back in the day ?
It will be not to long when you would have pictured every Capri on the road mate .

Re: Interesting.....
Yes, people would have fitted slotmags back then. They suit this car down to the ground and, in my opinion, they look better than the wheels on the car in the Ebay listing.Jasonmarie wrote: The wheels look very retro would they be something bought back in the day ?
I manage to photograph a good few last Saturday.....Jasonmarie wrote: It will be not to long when you would have pictured every Capri on the road mate .
