The goblin works Capri never sold at Bonhams today . I was going to log on but forgot so not sure what the bidding went up to .
Also I think it was phone bid anyway as I can’t find a video link to Friday’s auction.

Not surprised it's a real Marmite car, and that's Mustang GT money!

As I see it, the problem with the GWG Capri is the age old problem that custom cars are never worth the time and money spent on them when it comes to resale. If the seller really wants to get rid of it, they should cut their losses and sell it with no reserve. Otherwise it could be hanging around for a very long time.
I can't see the car appealing to anybody who is considering, for example, a newish Mustang or Aston, only to a Capri enthusiast.
There must be very few enthusiasts with that sort of money burning a hole in their pocket, and those who have would be better off searching for a factory original car that is more likely to retain it's value.

Looking at what is being asked elsewhere its strong money but more realistic than some offerings with less provenance

Can't argue with that!

If an enthusiast has owned it, it should be pretty well sorted.

If we do, the new owner won't park next to Danny, as he's got the only Capri that can upstage the GWG car on exhaust noise!
