Re: £30K 3.0S
So the 3.0S has been sold to a buyer who already owns a Tickford. A very nice pair of cars, I'm sure.
Here's hoping that the new owner is already on, will join, this forum. It would be good to see more photos of the cars.
Andrew.

If its who i am thinking, then the new owner is a chap called Brian Hollins who owns the paris blue Tickford Capri registered 4 BRH. Usually seen around shopping car parks by other capri enthusiasts on facebook.

I’ll keep a look out for it as he lives in the next town from me.
I remember seeing his restored Tickford parked at my local Tesco’s not long after it was finished, and last year at the garden centre; thought it was crazy but admire it as well, enjoy while you can!

I prefer them in Blue to White, but would have the 3.0S over it any dayAndrew 2.8i wrote:

Give me the 3.0S in preference too. Or a 1.6L.

For rarity I would take a 1.3 Basic model to add to Biscuit but then I would loose my gentlemen's vegetables courtesy of SWMBOPaul G wrote:Give me the 3.0S in preference too. Or a 1.6L.

Or even a 1.3 Cameo like Paul Finney's. Now that's rare.Lord Flasheart wrote:For rarity I would take a 1.3 Basic model to add to Biscuit but then I would loose my gentlemen's vegetables courtesy of SWMBOPaul G wrote:Give me the 3.0S in preference too. Or a 1.6L.
The price this S sold for must give you an idea of what Biscuit must be worth.

Re: £30K 3.0S
Didn't realise Finn had a 1.3. I was so tempted when EllieCharlie had a base 1.3 a while back but nowhere to store / hide it, would have had one from each end of the range then.
I hear what your saying about values mate, its the S's everyone wants even though the more discerning owner knows a Ghia is the better car
Apart for insurance perspectives, I hope its many years before I have to value to sell.

Now I think of it I believe his is a 1.6 Cameo in beige. For the 1.3 there are 2 taxed and 4 sorned and for the 1.6 there are 2 taxed and 11 sorn left.Lord Flasheart wrote:Didn't realise Finn had a 1.3. Getting rare. Much rarer than a Tickford or a 280.
There was a 1.3 base model MK2 on ebay about 6 months ago which sorely tempted me, but I've already got 3 so no more for now!

As you say, very rare mate.

And this although not cheap https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Capri-2 ... SwIzBa3xHF

Re: £30K 3.0S
Take a close look at the 2.0L S, i didn't know that as new meant with rusty lower rear quarter, or is it just a bad picture, me thinks not, its a shame ads are misleading
