Me too, pity didn't make one as standard in UK. Love the 'rumble' the V6 makes, but a 5.0 V8 definitely sounds betterandyd wrote:Great looking car, and a big V8 Would love a V8 CapriCaprifan Rob wrote:andyd wrote: Weirdly, I was taken in by its good muscle car looks on the day. Don't normally go for the overly modified look, even though I'm a big fan of the OEM + look, hope the show can fulfill the promise shown on this great Capri Conversion.

Watched Goblin Works last night, and IMO not a bad programme, they had a Motorcycle build on it too.
They showed the car being sold to a guy at a car event, but it's for sale again advert dated Nov 2017.....

They have 2 more of their builds for sale there too.

The link to the PCC website shows a total of 6 Goblin Works cars, one of which (the Capri) has been sold.
All the others are p.o.a.........

Enjoyed the show. They did a quality job on the Escort, personally I'd have liked it in its original orange plus sport stripes ( I know that wasn't the point ) everything else I'd be more than happy to have. Got to take your hat off to anyone trying to make a business from doing this work as they're building cars for a vision not a buyer, takes a lot of guts. I guess these are the loss leaders hoping the orders will come afterward, that's where the profit lies. Spoke to Anthony at the NEC, he was a nice guy & excited to show the Capri off. I wish them luck with the venture & looking forward to watching the series.
Re: I like......
I must admit I was pleasantly surprised when I watched this. After the utter garbage that was Car SOS the other night I was having my doubts.
Unlike most of these programmes they were pretty upfront about the spiralling cost of the project. These things are not cheap to build and that is an Escort which has an excellent range of good aftermarket parts and spares.
Going the modified route is O.K but when it comes to resale you are looking for a buyer who has both the funds to buy the car and who also has the same taste as you for the mods.
I must admit I prefer them to be more standard looking, maybe a few subtle tweaks but nothing too radical.

But not my choice of paint either, I would have preferred a 70's Ford orange or yellow all over.Caprifan Rob wrote:Enjoyed the show. Although I prefer original, I think that engine would be great for reliability if you used the car regularly or daily.Caprigear wrote: I must admit I prefer them to be more standard looking, maybe a few subtle tweaks but nothing too radical.
And yes, better than the current Car SOS! Fuzz should be with these guys.....

I also enjoyed the show was nice to see English cars being fixed up Iam not a fan of motor bikes ( sorry) but saying that I never knew that Norton was still making bikes .
I can not wait for the Capri . And as a audience we will be the most picky.

Re: I like......
Having seen it in the metal, it looks a real eye full & the proportions are great. The side pipes are silly & I'm not keen on the grille but the quality & engine conversion are top notch. They probably made very little on this too, but the exposure they've gained is excellent, a free 1 hour advert once a week has got to be good for businessJasonmarie wrote: I can not wait for the Capri .
