Brookie Automatic?
This is a rare one. RAF (rough as f***) condition and automatic. Is it genuine. Wonder what it will make?

Re: Brookie Automatic?
Hi Paul,
I believe the seller to be correct in that there were supposedly three 280s supplied new with auto 'boxes.
I concur with your assessment of the condition of this car....
Is it worth any more than the value of the parts?
Andrew.

Don't think it's something I would want to take on Auto too
Same seller has the new Capri parcel shelf I posted up in Parts Section viewtopic.php?f=14&p=350589#p350589

Re: Brookie Automatic?
I wonder how long it's been parked up? There's no record of it ever having had an MOT on the DVLA database.
At least it's a "lovely car and will be worth good money done".

Re: Brookie Automatic?
but perhaps I should not be too incredulous, at least the listing doesn't start with the words "Here we have.....", or contain "just needs a few bits and pieces for MOT".

Re: Brookie Automatic?
Would the dolphin hide offer much support/grip when going around corners though? I imagine it to be quite slippery.....

Re: Brookie Automatic?
Guessing that after tanning dolphin hide would be un-slippery but who knows? I'm no expert.

Re: Brookie Automatic?
Either way, who'd have thought that your seemingly insignificant comment would have us discussing the benefits, or otherwise, of covering our seats with dolphin hide?

Hmm a pile of spares and a V5 with a 280 VIN number on it! The possibilities are endless.
