You never know, the bidder may have viewed the car prior to bidding. I doubt it though.....

Unless it's a dealer making a calculated gamble that the car is as described and it would be worth at least what they bid?

Probably reserved way over the top too....Good to see people can't just assume they can sell cars with little to no effort!
, I almost think eBay should have a big red button that you can press to say sort the advert out . 
I will now sit in the garden and listen to bird song thinking that the world is all okIts not just you, i find it absolutely ridiculous, bordering on insanity as well. I do sell stuff on eBay and always hope that I get things right with the pictures I take ,you can edit your pictures really easy in the eBay site to make sure they are around the right way .
But I know I don't bid with out a picture so know wonder they don't get top dollar .....
