Hi Andy,
Good spot. Of the two, I definitely prefer Mike's old one.

Thanks Andy,
No, I haven't wound the mileage back...........

Not long to wait for the auction (December 8th). Will the TV history of this car significantly affect the sale price?
Judging by the MOT history, Alfie Moon must have spent more time under the arches in Phil's garage repairing his Capri than he spent in the Vic!

:agree: We all know some MOT Testers are stricter than others, so some advisories may never have been done or needed..... :?

The estimate seems about right, but they are rare so could be more!? Definite head over heart on this one.

Happy Birthday Andrew
It'll be good to see what price it goes for, it's a nice looking Capri anyway, interesting to see whether bidders value it's TV appearance over the car itself.

Hi Andy,
Not one of the V6 Capris sold. Are they falling out of favour with the buyers, or have the reserves been set too high?

Maybe both.....A mate has been to a couple of auctions recently, and one White 2.8 Capri especially was poor although it had been resprayed.
Sills still had signs of rust when you opened doors

Seems you cant take the vendors word at auction :?

Hi guys

Been a while and hope all is well - I didn't see the cars in person but was interesting to see most of the fords didn't sell - could be many things like reserves as you mentioned or condition or just the fact that Brightwells aren't an easy place to get to and don't seem to deliver the best prices at auction for the seller. Going from history, it looks like Silverstone auctions are the way to go (for the seller) for rare / outstanding condition Fords as they regularly set record sale prices - lesson maybe if you are looking to buy at auction, then Silverstone isn't the place to go but for the seller its great news
