Hi,
Looks stunning! Although I'm pretty sure that the OP won't be able to buy it for the budget stated.

Andrew.
It's listed for £8000 on another classic car website, trying to call the seller as we type :D

Spoke to the guy, wanted £8k for the car.

Seemed a bit reluctant to do an MOT on it (currently doesn't hold one), has been taken off of :ebay:

I can't understand why the seller wouldn't get a new MOT, he'd obtain the best possible price for the car then.
The MOT has only just expired, and it only failed last year on the foglight.

Is it a genuine sale or could it be a scam listing? It just seems too good value for money.

He said he is in to older cars (40's/50's) and they don't need MOT's, so he doesn't value them as much as people usually do (when it comes to a sale)?

Also, he says the car has been sold

There must be someone with a genuine 2.8i out there for sale!

Still on C&C http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C837341

:agree: MOT it before sale, unless it has 5/6+ months still to run

Ok, not a 2.8i but this car is for sale at a dealer's not far from me and I got a mechanic mate to go over it in detail as i was seriously thinking of buying it. In the end I got an earlier 2.8i within my budget but this was a very close second. Every indication is that it is entirely genuine low mileage 2.0 S and has only ever had paint for gate post type scratches.

I'm not looking for a 2.0s.

Ah yes, I believe I am viewing that one on Sunday , had a look at the previous mot and it suggests rust at the sills/arches
