That's terrible. But thanks for the heads up. How do you know that they are bogus though?

Ebay ad does not seem to link to the car anymore, maybe that is a sign?

It's another Ebay seller who is willing to post the car to Australia. They might need a lot of bubble wrap!
The car does looks good though, and red seems to be an unusual colour for an S.

I've joined the forum to post about this motor as I used to own this when I was 19 I'm now 43! I'm absolutely delighted to see it surface again.
When I owned the car it never had power steering either.
The shell had never been welded when I owned it I sold it on after some d*ck on a motorbike rode into the NS front and after it was damaged I lost heart and brought something else I kind of wish I hadn't sold it!!

Yes it really brought back some great memories its just a pity my wallet won't stretch that far at the moment!!
Really great to see it's been looked after.

I spoke with the current owner this week to warn him someone was using his pictures for an ebay scam at selling at £5000.
I asked him if he had sold it to which he said he was relisting it again that day for £11795 as before.
He said it's a really nice car although not perfect, having been restored some years ago, but it has original panels........
Pity I haven't got more garage space as it seems a fair price. When I asked he said £11000 would buy it!!!

Now at auction http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C812977
At sub £12k, I'm surprised it didn't sell, even if it isn't the best example

Re: Red 30s CUF 310 T
I bet the seller was well pleased with the result if he put it into auction in desperation because he couldn't sell it.andyd wrote:Sold for over £14K http://www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/ford-capri-3-0-sandyd wrote:Now at auction http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C812977

According to the Hagerty insurance valuation tool, £14K is about the right price for it, at the Ebay price of sub £12K it should have sold quickly.

Re: Red 30s CUF 310 T
As I said previously he would have taken 11k for it.......This seems to be the problem now, if a car appears to be too cheap it wont sell, but probably that's it's true value and not an inflated one like 80% of others on the market imoAndrew 2.8i wrote:I bet the seller was well pleased with the result if he put it into auction in desperation because he couldn't sell it.andyd wrote:Sold for over £14K http://www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/ford-capri-3-0-sandyd wrote:Now at auction http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C812977

Hi,
£2K mark up on the 3.0S and £4K on the 2.8. Not a bad day's work at the auctions!

I cant understand people advertising a car on Ebay, where it was previously £4000 cheaper with another seller that still didn't sell
Unless a potential buyer has just started looking may not be aware of the fact.....
OR
The current seller isn't aware of the fact either.......We are though
