1983 Capri 2.8i. Black For sale.
It is with a lot of regret, genuinely, that I have decided to part with the Capri. Not even used it since getting it back on the road but the reality is with the house we have just bought needing a full scheme of refurbishment, including the demolition of the garage to build another, I am not going to have time to use it let alone have safe storage for it.
The car
Black 2.8 injection. A reg, 1983.
129k miles.
Gleaming black paintwork after recent respray.
Nice tidy engine bay.
Runs and drives nice, and in the few times I have used it has no cooling issues.
It has 15inch sierra 'Brooklands' type wheels
Has a very very nice special interior with un cracked dash, nice clocks and surround with original digital radio.
Full sportex 2 inch exhaust and manifolds.
Its had welding done over the years and a few areas by me too, and then stone chipped and waxoyled.
It is a very nice Capri, that would win some show and shine competitions, but one that can also be used and enjoyed.
I want £8k for the car which I think i fair in the current market.
Not got many pics at present as it is tucked away in parents garage but I have a topic on this forum, under members cars, with some pics.
Please no time wasters. I am genuinely gutted doing this.

Hi Lee
Sorry to hear it has to go, on one hand it's a crying shame but on the other needs must and I'm sure you will be back in a Classic Ford in the not too distant future. Hopefully with summer/show season just around the corner someone will snap it up at what is a very fair price IMO....
All the best

Thanks Des . I could pay for storage somewhere I guess but that's not my thing . I'd sooner sell and start again when the house is done . I knew this day would come but hoped I'd get a season out of it first !

Hi Lee,
I agree with Andy, advertise on Car and Classic to attract discerning buyers. You could also place a classified ad on Ebay ( definitely not auction or buy it now) to reach the maximum amount of potential buyers.
Andrew.

Stating the obvious but the problem is the majority of people who use forums like ours already own one so its a thin seam of opportunity... Hopefully winter weather is on the downturn so get your priorities right and build the garage first...you have my permission to tell your misses.....
