Hi Andy,
Selling a car, or anything, privately usually involves a lot of faffing about and being messed around though......

Andrew.
I didn't want to say that but you are right.....Especially living down country people wont travel in my experience, possibly the same with your location??
That's why KGF and alike have the market sown up with their central locations.
As I edited my last post, the price I got seemed fair but now it seems prices have leapt up (if only we knew the future)

Hi Andy,
It's impossible to predict the market, you might have held on and the prices could have slumped.

:agree: and unlike dealers I tell of all imperfections, as when a buyer turns up they will see them anyway
and possibly try to haggle or walk away wasting everyones time

I'm after a manual for now...looks very nice, however. Lovely condition interior.

I was offered a Capri 280 over the weekend; 49,000 miles, folder of receipts/MOTs etc but£18K :|

If only!

Hi,
:agree: That sounds like a fantastic car and is priced about right, in my opinion.

Was it this one? http://www.angliacarauctions.co.uk/en/c ... rooklands/
Have seen it in the flesh as has Andrew, top car, top repaint too...
The owner told me he paid half that in July 2014....Good Investment :)

Yes, it was that one! The owner had also sold the 'G' reg car recently. Very nice chap, I only wish I could afford to relieve him of it!

Hi,
I agree with Andy. That car has had a very good quality repaint. It's worth the asking price, in my opinion.

I bet
Think he lived in Portishead and the car has been to the Queens Street Event in Bristol.
If anyone could get it for £16k :applaud:
Something will come along....We are all keeping an eye out :D

Shame it's not June, you could have bought my 2.8i 4 Speed for £10k

Yep, I think I made a big (financial) mistake by not buying over the summer. Oh well. As you say, everyone's kindly helping me in my quest and hopefully something will appear!

It's only 45 minutes or so from me; might have to go see it at the weekend!

The thing that makes me wonder about this one is the engine size.....I get the sense that I may find a 2.8 at an affordable price- there was one listed on ebay for £7250 today, and it's already sold, for £6500. Think it just needed a few panels painting.
