wanted Ford Capri £3000 budget

Post by stevenmelboy »

Looking for a ford capri, would prefer 2L and above although not too fussed about engine size, as long as it has MOT and minimal issues. £3000 budget although it is my very very top limit, would prefer something a bit less than that. This really is my dream car so don't mind waiting for the right one to come up.

There is a member on here called elliecharlie (Steve). Might be worth your while sending him a message. Frequently has cars for sale, your budget sounds reasonable and if you do a search you can see some of the cars he has previously readied for sale.

I think this is a good buy http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151719428280? ... EBIDX%3AIT
Needs a bit of tidying up, but it looks a good honest car for the money..... I'm tempted myself, but not got the room at the moment for another car :?

All the best

Hi Neil,
That's fairly local to you, isn't it? Have you ever seen it out and about?

Good luck with your search stevenmelboy, by the way. You won't ever regret living the dream and buying a Capri!

Hi Andrew,
It's 35 miles up the road, never seen it out and about, but tempted to pop along and give it a once over. Its a 2 owner car and they don't come around very often!

All the best

Is mileage an issue? As in what counts as "high" mileage?

Hi,
Personally, I believe that mileage doesn't tell the whole story. I would rather buy a 100,000 miler that's been looked after and serviced regularly than a 50,000 miler that's been neglected.

Hi,
Also bear in mind that a thirty year old car that has averaged a mere 5000 miles a year would have covered 150,000 miles.

Think that white Laser might suit the guy looking as he says he would prefer less than 3k
So a cheeky 2k offer might get it or a tad more worth a try.
Saves money in the bank for tax insurance and a little TLC if needed.
Think it looks appealing to a good few.

Hi All,
Nice Laser, but is the owner French?
Under the "condition, used" section they've wrote "Non". I guess that should be "oui" anyway. :)

I think the highest bid will be over £3K.

Andrew.

That looks a nice car....... I think this car will go way over the £3000 budget here.
