Couple for sale in the latest CCI magazine. Very good condition and excellent condition. For £4500 and £5000.
Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
Hi All,
Food for Thought!!
Certain this car was on 'For The Love Of Cars' Auction Episode last night 7/6/15 filmed at Kings Lynn auction...
Sold for £9450 November 2014
http://www.angliacarauctions.co.uk/en/c ... injection/
but was sold again at same Auction for £11,100 April 2015!!
http://www.angliacarauctions.co.uk/en/c ... injection/
Regardless... that's a good increase in 5 months or 'Auction Fever' took over
Episode will be shown again tonight on Channel 4Seven at 8pm

Hi all.
I appreciate all your efforts to date .
I have been away for few days but still searching all the usual places as said. Nothing has leapt out at me yet with my budget of Max 7 or 8 k if a must, if its right car cheaper if possible for a nice one 5 to 6k that's also right.
I am sure if car comes from here enthusiasts will have a decent example at what ever the budget as mentioned.
I can't look at CCI magazine so any link it links would be great.
Regards Cliff.

Hi Cliff,
The cars in the CCI mag are:
1982 Blue over Silver 2.8, 4sp pepperpots etc. £4,500 Phone 07815 945390 (Leicester)
1984 Grey 2.8 MOT till June 2015?? £5000 Phone 01225834047 or 07758 375527
Might be worth giving them a ring, both sound good!
All the best
Neil

Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
Hi All,
Just a quick word about classifieds in the CCI magazine. Depending on when the advert is sent to the club, it can take almost 2 months before it appears in print, due to print deadlines and the like.
Obviously if it's a good car and it's advertised elsewhere, it may well have been sold even before the advert appears in the magazine.
All the best,
Andrew.

That's a nice car. Although it looks like Caspian blue to me, not Titan blue.andyd wrote:Car and Classic Ad http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C623982

Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
Really annoyed with the advert I found and a member here also found.andyd wrote:Car and Classic Ad http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C623982
Over a week ago I contacted the vendor for more info about the car emails back and fourth all was going well. He could not let me view and test the car until this week
I was supposed to view the car Thursday original price up until today was £5.500 now the price has been put up to £7.500
Really disappointed with the vendor to up the price after arrangements had been made to view at original price.
Even offered a holding fee which he declined.
Not nice thing to do as he knew my interest and put the price up. Hence I won't be viewing .
Back to the drawing board.
Sorry for my moan of the day.
Cliff.
Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
Hi Cliff,
Another Hope he gets stuck with it!
Soon buyers will be priced out of the Market due to sheer greed...Someone has probably told him it was too cheap? Or he has
seen an ad like my old one which is ridiculous IMO as it isn't worth that and I should know.
Keep searching I feel sorry for you as it is a Minefield (Glad I'm out of it)

Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
Hi Cliff,
I thought the car seemed on the 'Cheap Side' going by the details in the ad, but surely he should have done his 'Homework' before advertising it not put it up when he thought he got it wrong.
It may well still be in your Price Range but as you said leaves a Nasty Taste.........
I wish I asked more for mine now, but once discussed you cant decide to 'Up the Price'......... Greed v Morals

Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
Unless of course the previous price was a genuine mistake. Although I tend to agree with you guys' cynicism.
Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
It would have made more sense to put it on at an ambitious price to start with, then come down if there was no interest. Trouble is He's now lost at least one potential buyer.
Cliff,
If the cars not too far from you, it may still be worth viewing. And offering him what you feel the car is worth. Even at the higher price it could still be the perfect car for you. And it doesn't hurt to view a few cars before you buy to get an idea of how they drive.
All the best
Neil

Re: wanted Capri 2.8 i
Hi All,
Sorry to hear that you've been messed about, Cliff. I think you're right not to view the car on principle.
As has been said above, the seller should have done his research before posting the for sale advert. They've probably looked at other adverts and decided it was priced too cheaply.
However, the seller is free to change the asking price whenever he/she sees fit. In saying that, I imagine it won't be long before the price is reduced. Judging by the advert, I've seen better looking cars for the money.
Andrew.
