Looking for cheap capri

Post by jharris2202 »

Hi guys
I'm looking for a cheap capri that don't need major work my trouble is Im fighting against time now I have muscle wastage in my legs and docs say I won't be walking at all soon
So now I have to go for all or nothing I have been a fan of Capri since I was a kid bought the first one few years back but was never worthy of the road and due to other illnesses and nowhere to keep her I had no choice but to let her go
I still to this day have never driven a Capri
Money is tight
Time is tight
But I gotta try

Also if anyone knows when the meet for blue bell hill chatham is please let me know

Hi Mate,
Really sorry to hear you're not well :(
Keep an eye on Ebay, Car and Classic, Gumtree, Autotrader, Pistonheads and this Section on here...

I don't know what you have to spend, but maybe try and get something with a years MOT and enjoy it for that time regardless
of what it looks like, and go on from there.
You will get some help from Members on this Forum, but if you could give an idea of Budget that would make it easier :)

Christ that really is cheap :o
Don't think you will get anything for that price that's not a Basket Case....??

Another option is Hiring One? A few companies around do this for a said fee for up to a week. Do a Google search :)

Maybe 15 years ago you could have picked a road legal one up for £500. Just parts singled out on their own cost this much alone nowadays.

Really sorry to hear about your illness,I have a nephew who has a brain tumour and has also developed MS so I have an idea how you must feel,
You're not going to find anything for you're budget, if you lived near me I would gladly take you out in mine and let you drive it, there may be someone on here willing to do that for you,
Best regards and good luck,

Dave.

Good luck with the search, you may get lucky. I bought a 'cheap' one last year for £650 with a weeks MOT on, eight months, £1000 and a hell of a lot of a work later and it's still very much a project. If I had had to pay for the work I think I could add another grand on top. I think £1500-2000 is the bottom limit for getting something that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg or be a packet of trouble. But bargains do appear so don't give up. Hope it works out for you mate.
