1973 2600 4 speed for sale

Post by silver73 »

Hello all, my name is Brent and some of you may remember my car that a buddy of mine posted here a while back.I bought this particular Capri From the original owners son who grew up riding in it. It was restored in the mid nineties and has 78xxx original miles. It has the 2600 v6 and the factory 4 speed on the floor. The previous owner installed a CD player, speakers, the current american racing rims with cooper cobra tires and new air shocks to clear in the rear ( i do however have access to a set of original rims). The distributor was also upgraded to a Mallory electronic ignition (no more points to adjust) and the carberator was sent off and professionaly rebuilt and re coated. It also has new plugs, wires, and an aftermarket coil and a fresh valve adjustment. Three pumps on the gas, hit the key, and it starts right up runs great and handles better than i ever would have expected from a car of this vintage. All gauges work and are accurate as well as blinkers, dash lights, horn, head/marker lights, vents ect.

The main issues with the car are a few rust spots coming through the paint, some fading that is hard to see unless viewed at the right angle, tears in the drivers seat where the stitching came loose, steering shaking occasionally in the 35 mph range.

I bought this car with the intention of enjoying it for a couple years before going through and fully restoring it. However I'm also in the middle of remodeling a house and need to free up some cash to finish up and try to get moved in before winter. So here it is for sale, $7500 or best offer. Clean and clear title in my name. Ill listen to any reasonable offer in person. 4one7 4two5 eight9three7 Thanks, Brent! Image

This was my second attempt to post some pics of the car. Maybe I'm missing something-but I'll be back this evening to give it another shot.

Hi and welcome aboard. Definitely a nice set of wheels. I reckon you shouldn't have any problems selling it. :goodluck:

Thank you all for the greetings and kind words. I do have quite a few more pics that I'll be posting when I get a bit of free time. Between working at work and working on the new house I've been swamped.

Thanks! It's in Springfield Missouri. Didn't realize I left that part out.
