have been offered a black 1983 A reg 2.8i for £3000 motd til april 2015 taxed til sept 2014 75000 miles from new
a couple of rust spots rear arches and on front edge of bonnet
all gauges work recent new clutch and serviced regually
i have first refusal before being advertised
is it worth the asking price

These might tidy up if just starting to rust and give a decent car for the price but if they've been bodged with a quick filler job then flash sprayed to make it look good it could be a heap this time next year. Nah. It's only a 2.8... Spend a bit more on a good two litre car.
A fairly good two litre is obtainable for £3000, people are realising they don't need to put up with a 2.8i anymore, a more performance orientated 4 cylinder car is obtainable if you shop around.

have a 1.6 and a 2.0 thought i might try the 2.8 this time round
