Advice selling Capri 1.6L

Post by mentalo »

Hi All,
I'm hoping to sell this Capri 1.6L for an elderly neighbour, she has owned it since new. I know very little about these cars and I'm after some help on how to go about selling it and what she can expect to get for it.
It's currently taxed and MOTed and has entire history in documentation.
Thanks!

Hey that is the same car!
She never told me it had been up for sale before. I'll have to do some investigations.
Either way it's available right now for £1000

If you'd have only advertised this two days sooner I'd have been on your doorstep with a grand no messing. Gutted.

So she has TWO neighbours that have tried to do a good deed and sell it for her for "best price" hmmmmmm. I smell a rat here. Whoever buys this should give the money in person to the old lady.

Buyer is welcome to pay her directly, no rats involved just a misunderstanding methinks

Hi,
I hope no-one was thinking that I was suggesting that there was something underhand going on here. From what I have read and seen, I believe that the car and seller appear to be genuine.

Nice honest car, good luck with the sale.

Andrew.

thought i had seen this car for sale before as its the extremely rare 1.6 cameo special edition trim option. i remember it well as its the only one ive ever seen. would love this for its rarity and originality but my finances dont stretch to 2 capris lol. i hope echarlie gets it as he does some fantastic restorations and if he got this he would be restoring 2 raritys at the moment this and that lovely mk3 1.3L. my favourite car he sold was the 1980 venetian red 2.0s with the optional ghia alloys i had a big soft spot for that car wish i had the money for it. :)
