Good example of an early 2.8 Capri; subtlety enhanced & sounds absolutely fantastic. Owned for the last 6 years; bought from North Shore Capri specialists in December 2004.

• Early 1982 2.8i cologne engine on an X plate with 4 speed manual gearbox
• Two tone metallic Grey over silver
• Full Brooklands leather interior in excellent condition (inc door cards, steering wheel etc)
• Five 15” genuine ford Brooklands alloy wheels
• Thatcham category one alarm immobiliser
• Remote central locking
• Full stainless Janspeed exhaust
• K&N filter
• Sony CD / MP3 head unit
• Stainless steel dashboard trim / white dials
• Removal of rubber side trimmings and wing aerial rust traps (electric one inside car)
• Full 12 months MOT expires 11th August 2011, Taxed till 31/07/2010
• Serviced April 2010 including full flush of coolant
• 46,600 miles (though probably 146,000 as no history prior to owning)
• Arches and underneath very solid
• Dashboard is not cracked and the heater works!

In the last 18 months new parts fitted:

• Full Janspeed stainless exhaust including steel manifolds
• Full Roose motorsport hose kit
• Two refurbished 15” Brooklands alloys (Capri Club)
• Temperature sensor
• Thermostat
• Water pump
• Battery
• Ignition module
• Rear wheel bearings

Full restoration carried out by North Shore garage Capri Specialists in February 2005 which included a full re-spray, new bumpers, Capri club parcel shelf, boot mat, carpet mats & fuel pump.

Bad bits

• Rust drivers lower quarter & edge of front wing by lights (see photos)
• Some minor rust bubbling in other places including tops of doors and edge of bonnet
• Sunroof seal (new one included in sale just needs fitting)
• Very slight oil leak from oil cooler arm (few spots on garage floor - new gasket included)

If it goes for asking price will also include a new starter motor (£85), new white dial kit, spare head lining, new pair upgrade headlights / bulbs (£40) and various other spares.

Dropping price to £2750 ono as tax / insurance run out at the end of July and I'd rather avoid the pain of ebay if possible.

Booked in Wed so will shortly have full 12 months MOT and the oil leak fixed.

Now has full 12 months MOT until 11th August 2011 - passed clean with no advisories
