Is the seller having a laugh or am I missing something here?
Never thought 3ltrs were this expensive.
No pics of the engine bay either.

Re: IS THIS SELLER HAVING A LAUGH??
Everyone knows 3ltrs are the best model!
I know Bodie's capri went for silly money a couple of years back
https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/car ... 5-000.html
Personally I'd rather pay that amount for a 3ltr as opposed to paying the same amount for a Brooklands

If the mileage is genuine, it's not often that a car with that mileage comes on the market.
A great looking car, judging by the photos.

Low mileage original car is very rare! Saying that it's been on the market for many months, so it must be overpriced or the right person just hasn't seen it yet
Fishet Recaros were included with the car last time I saw the ad, they aren't cheap either.

Re: IS THIS SELLER HAVING A LAUGH??
As it's being sold by a dealer, I'm sure there would be room to manoeuvre on the advertised price.
For what it's worth, Hagerty currently value a '78 3.0 S at £26,300.
Andrew.
Re: IS THIS SELLER HAVING A LAUGH??
Some interior pics on thier website, but no engine pics http://www.clinkardcars.co.uk/used-cars ... ri-s-3.0l/
For what is top money, an extra few minutes adding pictures of engine bay and the underside of the car, it needs to be done!
Sold for £23625 5 years ago (Engine bay pic included )https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/eve ... apri-3.0-s
Nice condition alot cheaper but alot more miles https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Capri-3 ... SwvjVe2RiF

Re: IS THIS SELLER HAVING A LAUGH??
There is a really nice 3.0 ghia for sale locally to me for 8500.
Is having "s" on your log book really worth that much?
Essentially the same car for a fraction of the price.

Re: IS THIS SELLER HAVING A LAUGH??
I had a 3.0 Ghia auto, nice car but always preferred the fishnet recaro check interior in the S, and it's still the best for the Capri imo
It’s a must to have fishnets now

Being bright orange is another premium there Jason I love the look of that car and would love to have it but I could never justify £50k for it. You can get so much more for £50k. I've just had a quick look and you can get 80s Ferraris, Porsches of all shapes and sizes, the occasional Lamborghini and plenty of Aston Martins, E-types... you name it you can probably buy one in some shape but as much as I would love a bright orange 3.0S, a v8/v10/v12 motor appeals much moreJasonmarie wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 12:20 pmIf you want fishnets it’s another 17k more I do believe this is the same seller

I must agree I know people love and hate them but I can’t work out why Brooklands go for so much money , 50k is to much I would say I would go for a Aston Martin I did drive a E type and found it not all that but a Jenson interceptor would be on my list

Guys, are you sure that Hagerty has right values for Capri?Andrew 2.8i wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 5:12 pm .... Hagerty currently value a '78 3.0 S at £26,300.
Andrew.
They have higher values for 1984 2.8i than 1984 2.0 Pinto! Jason, isn't that weird?
