Capri Interior (Brown cloth)

Post by Alscoob »

Following the add for Ghia wheels I also have an interior available.

It is really in very good condition for the age as it has been dry stored for many years and comprises of -
2x front seats including headrests
Rear bench seat with split folding seat backs
2x rear door cards
2x front door cards with arm rests
1x handbrake gaiter

It is in Brown cloth and vinyl. As can be expeted there are a few age related marks but nothing too bad.

I have advertised it on ebay but will clearly look to offer to forum members at a more competative price. link here.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Capri-i ... 3481875918

Would want to sell as a complete item and not split. Located in North Norfolk.
Any question let me know.

Is it from a Ghia (integral headrests) or from a GL ?

They look like the seats from my GL - not sure about the door cards as mine don't have speaker holes in the door cards

The Ebay description should really be edited to remove the line saying it was taken from a 3 litre as it will mislead potential buyers into thinking this was a standard interior for a 3 litre S or Ghia, which it isnt.

This is a Mk3 Capri GL interior which would only have been fitted as standard to a 1600 or 2000 GL (or one of the special edition versions at the time which were based on an L but had the GL seats).

That said it is a nice interior.

I once adapted a set of brown GL seats to fit a Mk 2 Escort estate back in the day, made a very nice upgrade.

Thanks for the replies.

Obvouly they are not the Ghia seats so from a GL version and are in nice condition. I'll modify the ebay add to avoid confusion as suggested.

We are selling these for the father in law as unfortunately he is now in a nursing home so has no further need for these. If anyone is interested £400 for forum members. Is that a fair price?
Thanks
