Parcel shelf mk3
Does anybody know where I may be able to get a new parcel shelf for a mk3 and how much please?
Re: Parcel shelf mk3
£67, less if you join: https://www.capriclub.co.uk/Mk_3_Parcel ... --353.html
You need to supply your own fittings (rubber lip, front support rod, strings etc) from yours/a donor card, and it comes as a bare GRP moulding without carpets. Or you may find a new OE one on ebay for £900.

The club ones Steve mentioned are good, I put one in my old Capri several years ago. If you don't have an old shelf, you can also buy some of the parts required from them too, but it all adds up!
Ebay have them but even used damaged ones go for silly money.

That`s in good nick overall; just that damaged corner, but a bit of skilfully applied filler and halfords vinyl paint it`ll be as good as new. Interesting to see what it goes for as other than the aforementioned it really does look mint.

I got an original parcel shelf from CCI a few years back but it wasn't in the best condition, set me back around £50 and still needs to be refurbished (I'm a lazy shit) but they don't necessarily advertise what they have so may be be worth a call to them.
Cheers

Thank, I’ll look into it, mine has collapsed and the bits where the strings go through are ripped

Mine has sort of done the same... the corners on the originals are prone to sagging and then breaking in the corners which is a pain. Fixing them is a ball in the balls (I'm yet to find a suitable solution) so the repro item from CCI is generally a safe bet and a lot of members have great results.

Ive had a CCI shelf in mine for 3 years now. The finish looks the same as the original but should be stronger as it is made of better materials.

Me too, I'd go for one of these. Quite a few have got them and as said they look the same, are strong & will last.Not_Anumber wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 12:09 am Ive had a CCI shelf in mine for 3 years now. Just ended £341.11 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303594494772 ... fresh=true
I knew it would easily make £300, and was going to put £355 in reply to your comment above but kept it to myself!! I wasn't far out
