Hey guys!
So the unthinkable has happened. and a few weeks ago i went to do some more on the Mk3 1.6 Restoration and i can only assume due to its old age and the cold conditions inside my workshop the windscreen has cracked and the top layer has separated from the bottom layer. Massively annoyed as all the glass was original and not peeling at the edges! Not to mention the registration etching on all the panels!
Needless to say i need to find a replacement windscreen.
Is there anywhere in particular you guys have used or recommend or have one for sale? i'm just outside Birmingham.
And does anybody know if there is a difference between Mk1/2/3 screens?
Cheers.
Tom

I would, unfortunately the car is a rolling shell at the moment and hasn't seen the road or insurance in 10 years

A wise man once said... "you can never have too many capris - buy another"

Re: Windscreen Drama
Wow not heard of that before.
Mk1 swindscreens won't fit but mk2 and mk3 windscreen are the same.
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.
Re: Windscreen Drama
Actually, any screen MK1 , MK2 and MK3 will fit any Capri as long as you have the correct rubber.

Well that's a new bit of info on me.

Re: Windscreen Drama
The size of screen opening in every Capri bodyshell is the same, it's the screen size and rubber that is critical.

Wonder though, why these have started cracking spontaneously in the night? I`ve never heard of this before and now we have 2. Just an age related issue, maybe de-laminating?
