Wanted: Ghia Carpet in Brown
Just bought some Brown Ghia Capri interior but it didnt come with any Carpet. Its the lighter choclote brown interior so i think it should have a lighter brown carpet, I have Grey Carpet that i could trade.
Also if i like this interior when i get it i'll have a full set of 2.8 Recaro Grey interior to sell... not sure how much this is worth yet. thought id mention if anyone has anything i need.

I have the correct brown, but it's kinda muddy, I think torn in the corner near the foot pad and only the drivers side.... if you get desperate remember me

It's not disastrous don't get me wrong, it could probably be saved yeah - will check later!
Not sure if I have any other brown trim though... what sections are you after and I'll check?

There were a pair of brown sill trims on Ebay the other day.CapriFreak wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 12:16 pm Cheers mate! It’s always good to know . I think I need the plastic cill trims, kick panels , boot panels and boot carpet I guess haha . It’ll probably take a while to get all this though
Have you tried the usual Capri specialists to see if they have anything in stock?
Andrew.
Re: Wanted: Ghia Carpet in Brown
I'm pretty sure I have the sill trims, possibly a boot carpet. I can have a look for the other bits as well.

Checked last night, the carpet I have looks quite dark compared to the pictures you've taken... not sure if it's my dreadful camera or if there are two shades of brown...??

Re: Wanted: Ghia Carpet in Brown
Blimey, seeing brown carpet and trim reminds me of the time in the late 1980s when i transplanted a brown Capri GL interior I picked up in a scrappy into a Mk2 Escort estate.
It worked surprisingly well. The original Escort carpet was serviceable and the right colour so i reused sections of the Capri carpet to cover the lower parts of the Escort door cards and quarter panel trims. The front seats were a straight swap and a lot more comfortable than the basic Escort ones they were too. I unpicked the cover from the base of the Capri rear seat and got my long suffering mother to hand stitch it over the Escort rear seat base. The 2x upholstered rear seat back parts from the Capri then just went straight onto the Escort estate's metal rear seat frame, courtesy of a few hidden clips. The reverse of the metal panel was then covered by more salvaged brown Capri carpet. The result was surprisingly good and people assumed it was a special order interior- including the car dealer who took it as a trade in - against a Mk3 Capri of course.

Re: Wanted: Ghia Carpet in Brown
I think there is. I noticed dark brown and lighter brown carpets from pics. The example i posted is from a white Capri Ghia thats for sale at the moment. I heard Ford made a dark brown and light brown interior for the Ghia Capris. I'm picking up the Seats and Door cards tomorrow so will post a photo, not sure what will go best with it really. Also the seller told me the handles for the interior i'm picking up have the wrong dark brown handles so will need to swap those out now... took on a bit more than i thought here.... just looking in the boot of my car and forgot about the speaker shelfs in the back i guess itll be fun collecting all these items but probably expensive.
Martin I'd love to see what you've got too if its not a pain.
Also does anyone know if a Grey dash ever came with brown interior ? probably how it will look for a while haha.
