Never seen this
So was having a look at bits on eBay like you do on a wet bank holiday and come across this .?
I must say I have had uncover for under the engine on other fords but never have seen one for a Capri ?

I assume that's a splash guard to fit underneath the sump. Is that a Capri part though? I've never seen one on any of the cars I've looked at.

Yes I have only once on a car, fitted to some Mark 1 Capris for a while, made of a rubbish fibre board so got wet and fell to pieces. Not an outrageous price. Seen a few for sale over the years.

I glad you have seen one and it’s still for sale I did get the measurements but have not got a clue how you would fit to a mk3 as it must fold over the steering rack

I would have thought it went further forward than that, connecting with the front valence?

I'm guessing that the two bolt holes on either side fit the steering crossmember to chassis bolt locations. The side with the two notches in must fit under something to secure it, as that side does not look to have any fixing holes for mounting.
