I want to experiment with covering an arm rest with leather or vinyl, but don't want to mess about with my current one (which is good, albeit the wrong colour for my car).
If anyone has a rough split one they want to get shot of I'll take it. Don't want to spend more than about £15-20 though.
centre arm rest wanted - any condition.

Nice spot. Thanks Nick I'll have that....
All I could see on ebay was Ollie's one that he'd listed and that was far too good for my purposes!

I gave mine a few light coats of......Halfords Flexible Vinyl Paint Black to just 'tidy' it up a bit. Turned out ok but a recovered one will look much better though without a doubt.
All the best Noel

Awesome, another thread hijack by HFVP!!!!
I do need to get some of that to do my bumper corners actually.
What I am thinking of is this.
A couple of months ago the upholstery shop in the town centre recovered an old piano stool for me, with an offcut of nice hard-wearing vinyl and a good firm bit of foam.
Was thinking of stripping down an armrest and seeing if they could do the same with that.
That was my plan.
If he's got a nice mid grey vinyl I will see if I can have a bit to make up a matching gear level gaiter too.

Sounds like a great idea does this Noel. These professional upholsters are brilliant at what they do so hopefully they can make a proper nice job of your armrest and gaitor/lever. Nice one NoelNoel wrote:What I am thinking of is this.
