Indicator/ horn stalk. Wanted. NOW SORTED

Post by Not_Anumber »

Does anyone have a spare indicator stalk assembly knocking around they can sell me please.

part numbers from the damaged one are 76EG13335AA and 818301 and G48190

It has to be from 1979 on as the earlier stalk looked similar but were wired differently so wont work with the later loom.

---now sorted thanks to Turbo Mike --

I have a load of them so will take a look for you, now I cant see your point for a post 79 as the first part of its part number starts 76 so if there was a later type I would expect it to start 79

Many thanks Mike, PM replied. Part sourced. superb

For some reason my old one would only flash the headlights when indicating left or right. I only realised whilst I was replacing my dash panel bulbs a couple of days ago.

Hi Mark,
It might be worth taking the steering wheel off and checking that the plastic collar that fits on the steering column isn't worn or broken. It's this collar that operates the self-cancelling of the indicators. It's a long shot but worth checking first before buying a replacement switch.

Andrew.

Hi Mark yes I do have another one but do check to see if you are missing the plastic thing that fits on the steering shaft before you fit the wheel and also check to see it is located in the hole on the back of the steering wheel otherwise it will cancel at the wrong time, I think I may have one of those if you are missing yours.
