Does anyone have any track rods kicking about? (Not track rod ends, the actual rod from the rack)
Mine are so corroded that the bit of the thread that was exposed has disappeared, so now the locknut just spins loosely on the shaft.
I can only seem to find complete steering racks for sale, which are expensive.
It's for a 2.8 so power steering makes even a refurb rack pricey. If it were a manual one I'd just get a new rack, but it's not so here I am.
It's a UNF thread on mine, just in case there were metric ones too.
Thanks

Re: Track rods (Wanted)
I have a rack in Surrey which is able to be cut up for spares.
The end rods should be ok on it. Its manual, but I think that part is the same on PAS also.
Not on here very often, so won't see PM, please use regular mail johnocapriman (at) outlook.com
