They are like gold dust. It may be both cheaper and better do get a new LSD fitted to another diff. At least it will be new and the diff can be serived as it is fitted.

Hi,
This one has been for sale on Ebay for a long time.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Escort-C ... 4ae9e34aed
It will never sell at anywhere near that price, so perhaps contact the seller and make an offer? He can only say no!
Good luck with the search,
Andrew.

Im in a similar positon to you, I want to put a LSD in my mk1 and theres a few thing to consider.
The mk3 axle will need narrowing to fit under the wheel arches of a mk1. By the time you buy a working LSD, (around £5-600) and get it narrowed you could buy a quaife lsd to fit your mk1 axle. Its modern day engineering and not 30 year old engineering.
That's the route im going down
