2.8i Fuel Pump ??

Post by Bug »

Well I have no idea if this is viable, but thought I'd flag it up as I just randomly spotted it on Amazon.
12v external injection fuel pump, 6.5 bar (95psi)
Comes with a long list of compatible Bosch Part Numbers.
For £25 next day delivery it is probably far too good to be true.
Not having a Capri any more I'm not able to check out if those dimensions are correct.
What do you all think? Any use?

It looks like decent ones start at about 65 quid.

Interesting find.
I put a black painted one that looked like that on mine (came from random internet seller) - it cost under £50, and it lasted a year. I think theres a thread on here where it had stopped working soon after fitting and I couldn't quite believe the pump was the problem.
Euro car parts stock them at a variety of price points, and I put a Vemo branded one on after that, which cost about £60 and that's been fine since about 2017.

OK, so it seems it indeed is too good to be true.
It was just a random thing that popped up and I thought I'd at least let you all know.
