So my BOA will cut out as soon as it gets warm and goes into closed Circuit mode.
I'm still running EECIV, not ideal I know but I don't have the money for Aftermarket ECU.
So my BOA does NOT have a VSS
Which I believe may also be causing my cutting out issues.
BOA is in my Capri with a Type 9,
Can I use the Burton power T9 VSS adaptor? Will it talk to my ECU, I don't know if it will send the correct voltage or frequency.
Secondly it has had an EGR delete so the ECU has stored multiple error codes
These are all my Error codes, ignition on
Engine off test.
327
EGR Circuit Below Minimum Voltage
522 vehicle not in park or neutral position (vss??)
565 canister purge circuit failure
558 EGR vacuum regulator circuit failure
566 shift solenoid circuit failure
629 torque converter clutch solenoid failure
577 kickdown switch
Now you tell me but I believe I can ignore 577, 629,566,565,
Which just leaves me with with 327,522 and 558.
I've heard so many contradicting stories but it would appear the vss is detrimental to the correct running of the boa, all these tests are just engine off tests
So I dare say once it's is running and is in closed loop mode I will get other error codes, the problem I have as soon as it warms up to the stage it would go into closed loop mode it just cuts out
All I'm trying to do is get this engine running in my Capri is best as possible
Without it cutting out when it goes into closed loop, and without it cutting out at junctions when the vehicle slows down.
Thank you
Anyone running BOA with standard EECIV ECU?

Speak to tickover, they fit/used to fit these engines and associated wiring for fun.
