It's easier to tell when you have it off, but I'm gonna go with no that looks like a thin one.
It has the older style of 'washers' that are meant to spread the pressure of the bolt - what year is the engine is another easy way to tell? If it's later then it will be wide, if it's pre-1982 (ish) it will be the thin one.

You can change the thin lipped rocker covers for a later wider one as well if you wanted to. Pretty sure that Ford changed them to prevent oil leaks and the wider covers do that better

Cheers
Danny

Danny`s right it`s the earlier, thin type gasket.
Although looking at it, would you be able to fit the wider rocker as it looks like the head only goes to the edge of the thin one if you get me? It suggests that the later head has a wider area for the gasket and putting a wide rocker on the old `thin` head would just leave the extra hanging over the edge,if that makes sense? Someone will know.

At least I got it right! :)
You can fit the later type to the earlier head (I've done it on the GL) and it does leave a little more hanging over the edge, but its much less likely to bend and be distorted compared to the earlier thinner rockers which is why I changed mine over

It's 1986 it does look thin but I was expecting it to be wider due to the year

The `wide` type gasket is 15.5mm so I`d guess the `lip` would be thereabouts? The thin one is much thinner, probably 8mm, you can`t mistake it. Don`t forget, the car may well have had a replacement rocker cover, if not a complete engine. The engine no is on LH side of block (as you look from front) behind the alternator, something like 81001EC: the 2 letters are code for date of manufacture.
(VIN ends in the engine no eg GAEC 81001EC so if they don`t match = new engine)

Incidentally, if you look carefully at those codes it does actually spell `my pubes are on fire` in german...

The complete wide lip from against the casing to the outer edge of the lip is 18mm
