Roof Bars
Not for the Capri, but I am wanting to fit roof bars to a Fiesta MK6 if anyone on here has any experience please? Been looking at the universal ones but they seem to be anything but, not like back in the day when you could just buy a cage type roof rack and fit it on most anything. The genuine Ford ones are too permanent, as you have to remove the car's rubber strips from the roof and cut a section out where the fixing points are, and remove sealant from these areas, so not easily reversible really.
Re: Roof Bars
Don't forget that any bar fitted to the roof of your car will have to be shut by 10pm, and you won't be allowed to enter any Tier 3 areas.

Hey Paul. Hope you are well mate
Paul have you looked at Inflatable Roof Racks. Not permanent and easy to fit and remove. This one is on Amazon but pretty pricey at £70 but go onto ebay and search for Inflatable Roof Racks and there are loads there for about £30.
Here's a pic of the one on Amazon

Re: Roof Bars
There is a universal roof rack system, made by sea sucker, which uses sucker pads to stick to your car body. Apparently they are very good but expensive. Although I believe Rockbros do a cheaper version.

I never knew this type existed, what a good idea though. Pity they are so expensive. Thanks very much for posting though. I had been thinking of something like the 'universal' ones below. but can't find out which ones will fit which cars -wested wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 11:25 am There is a universal roof rack system, made by sea sucker, which uses sucker pads to stick to your car body. Re: Roof Bars
Glad you are good Paul Yep OK this end thanks mate.
Paul reason I know about these inflatable roof racks is I worked in a yacht chandler's for many years and believe it or not we sold lots of these. The ones nowadays are very good quality and sturdy.
I though about getting one for the fiesta at one stage but my funds "let me down"
Let us know what you decide upon Paul. Your recommendations are always worth taking note off. Everytime I get my Clarkes Low Profile Trolley Jack out i think of you fella
