Hi, does anyone know how to remove the backs from the Mk3 rear seats, I’ve removed the nut from behind the flap in the carpet but can’t see what else to remove, thanks Gary.

That should do it. Just hold each side of the back near the bottom and give it a tug and it should come away.

Yup, just pull it backwards until it clears the bolt, then lift it slightly as it slots onto the top of the frame.
If they've never been off before, you may even find the original build sheet still behind one. If memory serves it was usually on the righthand side.

Oh and just because I'm a pedantic git, it's a Brooklands 280, not a Brookline. ;)

I thought maybe a 'Brookline' might be a new term for a Special with 15" wheels. You know, in the same way as Fords new ST line, Mercedes AMG-line and Audi's S-line - to designate those cars have some of the styling from the full ST or AMG range etc :xd:

Ah no, Brookline is the name given to those unfortunate enough to be spun, ending up backwards in a shallow stream. The trajectory taken is known as the 'brook line'. :xd:
