Water in passenger side footwell

Post by Mr B »

Evening all,

It's probably been the subject of a few threads but I'm not sure as to whether this particular item has been the culprit for the water ingress into the passenger side footwell when it rains.

I checked all the usual suspects blocked heater drain, windscreen seal etc etc but nothing visible.

I then removed the glove box and bingo! Turns out the water is getting into the car via a hole in the A post, the hole is there for the ariel cable to get into the car and somehow water is running down the cable, down the side of the kick panel and on to the carpet, one small rubber bung and some silicone sealer and it's been fine so far.

Hope my experience will be of help to others.
