Fair enough. I`m sure though that theremust be a way to remove the barrel without a key, as I just got locks from a scrapper (so couldn`t have the key) and made up a new one to fit my key as a spare... just can`t think how it`s done, Martin, bug, or Caprigear will no doubt know?
Edit: I just tried it, all you need to do is take the circlip/ lever/ spring off the back then push forward and the barrel will come out the front. You can see in pic, the `grooves` the pins lock into extend right through the body - and out the front.

You can ues a lock from a mark 3 escorts I mite have a driver side door lock and a ignition with o. Key

Got a replacement lock (thanks Martin), then had a set of keys cut to the lock, job done.
