Does anyone know what this connector is called and are they available new? They look like tow bar connectors... I wonder if they are the same? Image
Thank you in advance

I've never seen them available, only on wiring looms.

They are a moulded on plug and thusly cant be replaced as such, you could just chop them off and fit another plug assy but nothing on the planet would be as good in that particular situation, so they are worth a bit of effort to recondition . I rolled up small bits of 600 wet n dry sandpaper and sanded all the pins and sockets , reshaped sockets . Some times all thats needed is to squirt a bit of wd40 on it and plug it in and out a few times to scrape the crud off the terminals then a blast of air to blow that shit off and a fresh squirt of wd40 and stick them together .

Thanks for the advice. I am trying to make a new loom.
I am thinking to remove all the old cabling, replacing with new and applying a sealant and rubber to cover?

Or chop off and solder new to old

I guess it depends how original you want to be.
I always used to use:

www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk

They seem to stock everything and may well have some new weatherproof alternatives.
Worth a look?
